Moataz Faissal Farid

Biography

 

Architect with over 18 years experience in architectural design, urban planning, building engineering and construction management. Currently Associate at AECOM Middle East Dubai office leading teams and managing key projects in KSA.

 

Previously lead and managed 2xm Studio working on projects & construction sites in Italy and the Middle East. Worked as regional partner with Stefano Boeri Architetti following 10 years of collaboration working on different scales and typologies of international projects. Collaborated with dar al-handasah between 2005 & 2007 on complex scale projects.

Moataz exhibited his work in the Venice Biennale of Architecture in 2008 with the Egyptian Pavilion. He co-founded Zawia Magazine in 2011, a bi-lingual publication on urbanism, architecture and governing politics. He wrote numerous articles and essays as regular contributing writer or guest contributor.

 

Affiliated member of the UAE Society of Engineers since 2023, registered Architect at Milan order of Architects & Planners since 2014 and the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate since 2005. Holds a Masters degree in Architecture & town planning from the Politecnico di Milano (2010) and Bachelor degree in Architectural Engineering from Ain Shams University of Cairo (2005) with letter of excellency in architectural design.
